There is a positive story here in that the Speed Camera does seem to be having an effect, particularly on drivers entering the village (which is not surprising as that is when they will see the displayed speed). In terms of Maximum speeds however, we still have some incredibly foolish drivers, the latest numbers in this regard being;

Bury End - Incoming direction Max Speed Detected 83.00 Mph

Outgoing direction 94.00 Mph

Wickhambrook end - Incoming direction Max Speed detected 76.00 Mph

Outgoing direction 62.00 Mph

My Son who has a bedroom facing on to the Road at the Bury end of the village assures me there is a Motorbike that speeds up from the Village Hall onwards, I've certainly heard something that sounds like a MotoGP race, so if anyone gets a registration number, maybe we should get the police to have a quiet word?

88mph is not just slightly pushing boundaries, it is reckless, and with animals & children in the Village we have a duty to try and make things as safe as possible.
